Ummm...

We are getting settled in as much as possible.  Noah will hopefully be leaving this week to go to CA to pick up our household goods.  We are still waiting for the paperwork to be approved.

These pictures were both taken from the east side of base with the Franklin Mountains in the background.  The air was a little hazy, probably a result of the jets.  The airport is just east of the base.

Josiah with his "Pizza macaroni and cheese," as Michaela calls it.  (More commonly known as ravioli)  What insane Mom would let her 21 month old eat ravioli by himself, anyway?

Home, Sweet Home!!

We have a house as of a week ago!  Yeah!!!!  No pictures of the house yet.  It needs some desperate help first!  We will get working on that as soon as our belongings arrive.  In the meantime, I at least have an oven (microwavable mac & cheese and pizza was getting old), washing machine, and clothes line.  We also have a great little church to attend, only 10 minutes from our house!

El Paso with Juarez, Mexico in the distance.  El Paso has a population of 600,000.  Juarez has a population of 1,800,000.  It is the largest metropolitan area on the US/Mexico border.

Monsoon Season

When we arrived at the gate the guard told us we had arrived just in time for monsoon season.  We didn't know what to think of that when all we saw was sunshine for several days.  Then it began to rain at nights.  This particular day it continued to rain throughout the day (Saturday).  The streets quickly became rivers on base and some off base. Great fun!
