Kids!

Michaela thinks that there should be letters on her watch.  It took me a while to convince her that there were only numbers on her watch.  She had been singing the ABC song, so then she decided we needed to sing a number song.  She evidently didn't remember any number songs, so she asked me to sing a number song.  Since we were talking about her watch, I simply sang the numbers 1-12.  When I finished, she said, "Nope.  That wasn't a very good song!"

Here we go again!

Move out date is Saturday!  However, someone in the hierarchy of things decided to schedule additional duties for this Sat., so Noah will be busy all Sat. morning.  The good news?  He had a 4 day weekend this past weekend.  So most of the non-essentials are packed and in our 5x8 trailer.  There is actually a little room left for a few more things.  We are probably going to need it.  I don't think we can fit everything that is left in the apartment in our van, even if we very carefully puzzle piece it in there!  The additional good news is that we have until midnight on Saturday (not 1:00 PM when the office closes) to put the keys in the drop box at the office.  We just might make it!

Happy Independence Day!

We went to the July 3 Pops Concert last night.  The San Angelo Symphony played many patriotic songs.  When it was dark, they set off fireworks while the symphony continued to play.  Noah was part of the Color Guard from base.  He managed to get ahold of the IN flag, imagine that!  There was also a fly-over by the USAF. However, they were a ways away.  Maybe because of the thunderstorm in the area?  We'll say that was the reason.  They were in good formation, at least.  We had a lot of fun.  Michaela loved the fireworks!

This was the huge flag they unfurled from the bridge over the river.  They had two large fountains spraying in front of it.

Yup, he finally gave up, at least 1 1/2 hours after his normal bedtime.  This was during the middle of the fireworks, and they were loud!  We were only about 60 yards (or so, I am really bad at guessing distances) from where they were setting off the fireworks.
